Legal Aid

Hardings Solicitors hold a contract with the Legal Aid Agency to provide advice through the legal aid scheme in Family Law and Housing Law.

Eligibility for legal aid for most types of case will depend upon the type of legal problem, the merit of your legal problem and your income.  Changes from the 1st April 2013 have meant that fewer people qualify for legal aid support.  We offer a free initial interview which enables us to identify whether we can assist you and if you would be entitled to any help with the costs of the legal advice through the legal aid scheme.  We offer same day appointments for emergencies in respect to domestic violence.

Legal Aid will only be awarded in certain circumstances.  If after assessment we find that you are not eligible for legal aid we can provide funding options that aim to make our legal services available to all.

If you want more information regarding legal aid please contact us on 0191 5658194 and ask to speak to a member of our family team or you can contact us:
